All scientific responsibility for the articles belongs to the author(s). The editor, assistant editor, and publisher do not accept any responsibility for the articles published in the journal.
Abbreviation of the journal name

Assembly language
It is in Turkish and English. English articles should be checked by a professional linguist before submission. Spelling and grammatical errors in the article must be corrected by the English language consultant so that the content does not change. It is important to use proper Turkish in articles written in Turkish. For this purpose, the Turkish Language Association Dictionary and Spelling Guide should be based on the written language.
The statement that the compilation has not been published elsewhere
Each author must state on the presentation page to the editor that part or all of the review has not been published elsewhere and is not in the process of being evaluated in another journal at the same time. Abstracts less than 400 words are excluded. Oral or poster presentations presented at congresses must be stated on the title page, giving the name of the congress, place, and date. All responsibilities (ethical, scientific, legal, etc.) of the articles published in the journal belong to the authors.
Evaluation process
Manuscripts sent to the journal are evaluated in terms of format and plagiarism. Manuscripts that do not comply with the format are sent back to the responsible author without being evaluated. Manuscripts that do not comply with the instructions given to authors or fall outside the scope of the journal may be rejected by the editor-in-chief without peer review. Spelling rules should be reviewed to avoid such a waste of time. All manuscripts sent for publication are evaluated by two or more local/foreign referees. The evaluation of reviews depends on their scientific significance, the importance, originality, and validity of the material presented. Following the double-blind peer review principles of the Guven Medical and Health Sciences journal, the names of the authors and referees are not known to each other. Articles accepted for publication may be rearranged by the editorial board without changing the content by notifying the authors. After the review is sent to the journal or accepted for printing, the name order cannot be changed, and the author's name cannot be added or removed. Once an article has been accepted for publication, that is, after the corrections recommended by the referee have been completed, the author will not be allowed to make changes that deviate from the article accepted by the editor. Before publication, the first proof is always sent to the authors for corrections. Any errors or omissions resulting from our negligence during the final printing will be corrected in the errata section of a later issue. This does not include errors left uncorrected by the author in the first revision.
Acceptance for publication
After the editor and referees approve, the article is placed in the printing order based on the submission date. A DOI number is obtained for each article.
Transfer of copyright
It must be sent online via https://www.gms.org.tr/tr. According to the 1976 Copyright Act, all publishing rights of articles accepted for publication belong to the publisher. The copyright transfer form on the website must be signed by the responsible author on behalf of all authors and must accompany all submitted manuscripts. Please see the form for additional copyright details. (copyright transfer form) After the article is submitted, it is not possible to add/remove authors or change the order of authors. If authors do this, their submissions will be canceled. The authors confirm that they comply with scientific and ethical standards and responsibilities and that the editors will not bear any responsibility in case of doubt.
General writing rules
Articles must be written in Microsoft Word (version 7.0 and above), double-spaced, and in 12-point font, leaving 2.5 cm of space on both sides and at the top and bottom of each page. The font style should be Times New Roman. “System International” (SI) units should be used. Figures, tables, and graphs should be referenced in the text. Abbreviations should be given in parentheses at the first occurrence of the word. In Turkish texts, 50% should be written contiguously, and in English, 50% should also be contiguous. In Turkish, a comma should be used in decimal numbers (55.78), and in English writings, a period (55.78) should be used. Pages after Compilation 4000, the Abstract page should be numbered.
Corrections, Retractions and Expressions of Concern
Reviews are assumed to report on the study based on honest observations. However, from time to time the information obtained may contradict this. In such cases, the Guven Medical and Health Sciences journal applies the Publication Ethics Committee guidelines regarding corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern.
Corrections
Errors in published articles can be identified by the publication of a correction in the form of a typo. Because articles can be read and cited as soon as they are published, any subsequent changes could potentially affect those who read and cited the previous version. Güven Medicine and Health Sciences journal offers its authors the opportunity to review article evidence before publication to ensure the accuracy of the content. Publishing an error or correction increases the likelihood that readers will learn about the change and also explains the specifics of the change. Errata and corrections will be published on a numbered page and will include the citation of the Review. Instances where these corrections are insufficient to correct an error will be addressed on a case-by-case basis by the Editor-in-Chief. Deficiencies arising from the normal course of new scientific research are beyond the scope of this and will not require any correction or retraction.
Assembly Retraction
Violations of professional ethics such as multiple submissions, false claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, or the like. Retractions will sometimes be used to correct errors in submission or publication. Retraction of a paper by its authors or editor on the advice of members of the scientific community has long been an occasional occurrence in the scientific world. Standards on retraction practices have been developed by a number of libraries and scholarly organizations, and this best practice has been adopted by Guven Medical and Health Sciences journal on collection retractions:
A retraction note titled “Retraction: [article title]” signed by the authors and/or editor will be published in the page-numbered section of the next issue of the journal and will be included in the table of contents. In the electronic version, a link to the compilation will be made. Online posts will be preceded by a screen containing the retraction note. The link goes to this screen; The reader can then move on to the article itself. The compilation will remain unaltered except for a watermark on each page in the PDF file indicating that it has been "retracted".
Removing the Assembly
In a very limited number of cases, it may be necessary to remove an article from the online database. An article is removed from the database if it is defamatory, if it violates the legal rights of others, if it is in litigation or if it raises suspicion that it will be subject to legal proceedings in the future for a valid reason, or if it poses a serious medical risk if the information contained in it is acted upon. In such cases, the relevant post text will be replaced with a screen indicating that the build has been removed for legal reasons, while the metadata (Title and Authors) will be preserved.
Changing the Assembly
In cases where compliance with the content of the article would pose a serious health risk, the authors of the Review may request that the offending article be withdrawn and replaced with a corrected version. In such cases, withdrawal procedures will be applied; However, unlike normal, the database retraction notice will publish the access link to the corrected republished collection and the history of the relevant document.
Expressions of Concern
When significant doubts arise about the honesty or accuracy of a submitted or published manuscript, it is the Editor-in-Chief's responsibility to ensure that the situation is adequately addressed, usually with the authors' sponsoring institution. Under normal circumstances, it is not the Editor-in-Chief's responsibility to continue the investigation or reach a decision. The Editor-in-Chief must be informed immediately of the sponsoring institution's decision, and a retraction statement must be printed in cases where it appears that a fraudulent article has been published. Alternatively, the Editor-in-Chief may choose to issue an expression of concern regarding the honesty and accuracy of the work.
Retraction
Reviews may be withdrawn by the respective authors before they are accepted for publication. Granted, this applies to Published in Press collections that represent older versions of the manuscript, which in some cases contain errors or have been submitted twice by mistake. In rare cases, articles may constitute violations of professional ethics, such as multiple submissions, false claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, and so on. A review that contains errors, is determined to be an accidental copy of other published manuscripts, or is found to violate our journal publishing ethics guidelines in the opinion of the editors (multiple submissions, false claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, etc.) may be “withdrawn” from Guven Medical and Health Sciences journal. Reviews published in the journal cannot be withdrawn.
Responding to Allegations of Possible Impropriety (Disclosure Policy)
All allegations of irregularities will be forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief, who will review the situation in consultation with the deputy editors. Generally, during initial information gathering, interested parties will be asked to explain the situation and circumstances in writing. During an irregular investigation involving procedural or technical issues, the Editor-in-Chief may consult confidentially with experts unaware of the identity of the parties or, if the allegations concern an editor, with an outside editor. The Editor-in-Chief and associate editors will decide as to whether there is sufficient evidence to lead a reasonable person to believe the possibility of fraud. Their purpose is not to determine whether actual irregularities occurred or the exact details of this situation.
If the relevant allegations are about the authors, the peer review and publication process of the article in question will be stopped while the above-mentioned process is carried out. Even if the authors retract their articles, the above-mentioned review will be completed and the following responses will be taken into account. If the relevant allegations are about referees or editors, the relevant persons will be removed from the evaluation processes and replaced by others while the allegations are investigated.
Data Sharing Policy
Guven Medical and Health Sciences journal requires authors to fill out a data-sharing declaration form and register a data-sharing plan when participating in a clinical trial. The ICMJE's data-sharing declaration policy requires authors to submit a data-sharing declaration for randomized clinical trials. Detailed information on ICMJE's clinical trial enrollment policy can be accessed at (http://www.icmje.org/icmje-recommendations.pdf). Accordingly, data-sharing statements should include the following:
Whether individual de-identified participant data (including data dictionaries) will be shared,
In particular, which data will be shared,
Whether additional documents will be accessible (e.g. research protocol, statistical analysis plan, etc.)
When and for how long the data will be available,
According to which access criteria the data will be shared (with whom, for what type of analysis, and by what mechanism)
Authors must provide a data-sharing declaration during the article declaration, indicating whether data will be shared within the scope of the above.

Authors of secondary analyses using shared data must declare that their use is in accordance with the terms (if any) agreed at the time the data were collected. In addition, the data source must be referenced with its unique and permanent identifier to give credit to the individuals who produced the data and made possible the other studies it supports. Authors of secondary analyses should explain exactly how their study differs from previous analyses. In addition, individuals who create and share clinical trial datasets should be equally recognized. Those who use data collected by others must cooperate with those who collect the data. The efforts of those creating the data should be recognized, as collaboration is not always possible, practical, or desirable.
Statistical Information
The statistical method should be reported in a way that the reader, regardless of who he or she is, can access the original data and understand the results. Terms, abbreviations, symbols, computer programs, and statistical methods used should all be defined.
When reporting results, especially when stating mean values and percentages, two digits should be included after the comma (112.20 or 112.21 instead of 112.2). P, t, Z values are an exception to this situation and the number after the comma must be three digits (p = 0.001 instead of p < 0.05).
In short, except for integers, two digits should be given after the comma, and three digits should be given after statistical values such as p, t, z, F, Chi-square. When presenting p values, except where the value is less than one percent or one thousandth, the full p value should be given along with the test statistics (p < 0.01 or p < 0.001 should be given respectively).
Publication Frequency: Guven Medical and Health Sciences journal is published three times a year.
Preparation of the Article
Cover Letter: Guven Medical and Health Sciences journal requires authors to disclose in the “cover letter” any commercial relationships (e.g., employment, direct payments, stocks, advance payments, consultancy, patent licensing arrangements, or honoraria) that may create a conflict of interest regarding the review. is running. All financial sources supporting the study should be stated in a footnote. Additionally, authors should note that the content in the article has not been previously published and none of it is currently being considered for publication elsewhere. This includes all types of symposiums, proceedings, books, invited articles, and pre-publications, except for abstracts of 400 words or less.
Style and Format: Articles should be written in Times New Roman font, double-spaced, leaving 3 cm space from each side of the page. Symbols, Units, and Abbreviations: The journal generally follows the rules outlined in the Scientific Style and Format, The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, Council of Science Editors, Reston, VA, USA (7th ed.). If × If symbols such as , μ, η, or ν are used, the insertion must be made using Word's symbols menu. Degree symbols (°) should be used from the symbol menu, not the superscript letter o or the number 0. Multiplication symbols (×) should be used, not the letter X. There should be a space between numbers and units (e.g. 3 kg) and between numbers and mathematical symbols (+, –, ×, =, <, >), but not between numbers and percentage symbols (e.g. 45%). The International System of Units should be used. All abbreviations and acronyms should be defined where first used. Latin terms used, such as et al., in vitro, or in situ, should not be italicized.
Parts of the article
1. Presentation page: This is the letter sent by the responsible author of the article to the journal editor, stating the request for the article to be evaluated for publication in Guven Medical and Health Sciences. In this section, it should be stated that part or all of the review has not been published elsewhere and is not in the process of being evaluated in another journal at the same time, and the financial support and conflict of interest status should be stated.
2. Title page: The responsible author information (name, institution, contact, orcid), Title, and short title should be added.
Title: It should be a short and clear title. It should not contain abbreviations. It should be written in Turkish and English and the running title should be added in Turkish and English. After the names and surnames of all authors are written, they should be numbered from 1 with a superscript, and their titles, the institution, clinic, and city where they work should be added under the author names. On this page, the "responsible author" should be stated and name, full address, telephone, and e-mail information should be added. Oral or poster presentations presented at congresses must be stated on the title page, giving the name of the congress, place, and date.
3. Main text: (Author and institution names should not be included)
Title: It should be a short and clear title. It should not contain abbreviations. It should be written in Turkish and English and the running title should be added in Turkish and English.
Abstract: It should be written in Turkish and English. Compilations should not exceed 300 words.
Keywords: Turkish and English should be included at the end of the abstracts. At least 3 and at most 6 should be written. Words must be separated from each other with a semicolon. English keywords should be given in accordance with “Medical Subject Headings (MESH)”. (www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html). Turkish keywords should be given in accordance with "Turkish Science Terms" (www.bilimterimleri.com). If it cannot be found, a literal Turkish translation should be provided.
Text sections: Introduction, content, and conclusion should be edited. The places where figures, photographs, tables, and graphs appear in the text should be stated at the end of the relevant sentence and should not be placed within the text. The abbreviations used should be stated in the description below. If previously published figures, pictures, tables, and graphics are used, written permission must be obtained and this permission must be stated as an explanation in the description of the figure, picture, table, and graphic. Tables should be added to the end of the text. Images/photo quality must be at least 300 dpi.
Ethical rules:
Authors are responsible for all ethical, scientific, legal, etc. content of their articles. If medical records and photographs are to be used, a consent form must be obtained from the patient and this must be clearly stated at the end of the compilation. GMS will assume that the articles sent to the journal are made in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and that corporate ethical and legal permissions have been obtained, and will not accept responsibility in this regard.
If the "Animal" element is used in the study, they should clearly state at the end of the compilation that they protect animal rights in their studies in line with the principles of the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (www.nap.edu/catalog/5140.html).
Acknowledgment letter: If any, it should be written before the references.
Financial support and conflict of interest: At the end of the review, the people and organizations that financially support the study, if any, and the relationships of interest of these organizations with the authors, if any, should be stated. (If not, it should be written as "There is no person/organization that financially supports the study and the authors do not have any conflict of interest."
4. References: References should be written in the order they appear in the article. If the number of authors in the source is 6 or less, all authors should be stated; if there are 7 or more, the first 3 names should be written and et al. (“et al”) should be added. The format used for writing references must be as specified in Index Medicus (www.icmje.org). Only studies that have been published or accepted for publication or have a DOI number should be included in the reference list. Journal abbreviations should follow the style used in “Cumulated Index Medicus”. Care should be taken to limit the number of sources in compilations to 60. References should be specified in the text using parentheses, just before the period at the end of the sentence. For example (4,5). The author(s) are responsible for the accuracy of the sources. Importance should be given to the synthesis of domestic and foreign resources. Care should be taken to ensure that resources are up to date.
Figure and table titles: Titles should be written after the references.
5. Figures: Each must be submitted as a separate image file (JPG).
